- Franklin held a meeting to share draft recommendations for the Factory District Design Concept and improvements to Liberty Pike. Community feedback will shape the final recommendations for the city's land use plan, which will be presented in July. The goal is to create a pedestrian-friendly district connected to Downtown Franklin. (williamsonherald.com)
- In-N-Out Burger officially purchased 28.9 acres of land at Goose Creek bypass and Lewisburg Pike for $36.1 million, securing the location for its Franklin headquarters and its first restaurant in the area. The restaurant is expected to open in 2025, ahead of the headquarters completion that is set to come in 2026. (Williamson Source)
- Three months after the school shooting that took place at Covenant School, Covenant parent Elaine Eisinger is working to form an advocacy group among other parents to help spark conversations about gun safety and children. The group does not intend on being left- or right-leaning but will focus on meaningful conversations. While the group is still forming and doesn't have a name yet, it hopes to solidify its details soon. (WKRN News 2)
