  1. Franklin's Berry Farms community can expect to see a new southern bakery on the scene as Cookie Fix is looking to make its Tennessee debut in the next few months. Before now the company offered cookie dough shipments so that you could make its delicious cookies in the comfort of your home, now you will be able to come in person and get a taste of its wonderful flavors from the rotating menu. An exact opening date has not yet been determined, but it is believed the cookie shop will be open either later this summer or in the early fall. (Williamson Source)
  2. This weekend, First Lady Jill Biden will be nearby in Nashville in celebration of Pride Month where she will be stopping by a local spot before speaking at a political event later that evening for the Biden Victory Fund in Nashville. Nashville's Pride Parade will be taking place on Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m. The event will be free and will occur down Broadway between 8th Avenue and 2nd Avenue. For anyone interested in the festival, however, tickets must be purchased. The festival will be all weekend long Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (WKRN News 2)
  3. Local American Idol star Oliver Steele will be performing in a free concert this Sunday in Franklin at Paddle Dog at 6:00 p.m. Steele made a name for himself with his first performance at Paddle Dog before his "American Idol" appearance and then backed it up by winning over the building and making it to the final eight.
