Here are the top three stories in Franklin today:
- NFL Hall of Famer and executive Bobby Beathard died on Monday at his Franklin home. His son said that his father passed away from Alzheimer's disease at the age of 86. Beathard's 35-year career with the NFL included building four Super Bowl-winning teams and a 1972 undefeated Dolphins team. He retired from football in 2020. (KTVZ)
- The Refuge Center for Counseling began to break land for its new counseling center campus, which will be located on Long Lane in Franklin. An official groundbreaking ceremony will take place Thursday, Mar. 9 at 11 a.m. at the campus' new site on 4321 Long Lane. The public is invited to attend. (williamsonherald.com)
- The Tennessee Department of Education recently released data showing that Williamson County Schools' class of 2022 had the highest percentage of students scoring 21 or higher on the ACT exam out of all other districts in the state. The county's class of 2022 was also the only district out of the 29 school districts in Tennessee to have a 100 percent ACT exam participation rate, compared to the state average of 98 percent.
