  1. Authorities are searching for human remains near Franklin. Skeletal remains were found in the same area back in November. The remains, which were found near Clovercroft Road, had been exposed to the elements which made forensic clues difficult to find. Now that the weather has improved, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office investigators are once again combing the area. The investigation is ongoing as the story develops. (WSMV 4)
  2. The Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen could amend an ordinance which would limit public gatherings on Main Street in Franklin. The ordinance discussion comes in light of a worship service in Franklin's square that drew attention from both the media and the authorities. If approved, the ordinance would change the definition of a public gathering to include events that require amplification or that happen more than once a month. Despite the discussion, no next steps were discussed at the meeting. (williamsonherald.com)
  3. Every school in the Franklin Special School district will be hosting open houses on Jan. 27. New families in the area are encouraged to attend. The open houses are scheduled during school hours so parents can get a firsthand view of the classes and education process. People who live outside of Franklin but work in the area can also have their children apply to the schools. (Press Release Desk)
