- Residents, activists, and faith leaders gathered in Franklin's public square for a "Protect Kids Not Guns" rally, advocating for gun reform and stricter regulations. Attendees wore orange and held signs supporting measures like red flag laws, enhanced background checks, and a ban on AR-15-style assault rifles. Speakers, including survivors of mass shootings, student representatives, community advocates, and State Rep. John Ray Clemmons, emphasized the urgent need for common-sense gun safety legislation and urged continued action to protect communities from gun violence. (Williamson Herald)
- Buttermilk Sky Pie in Franklin, Tennessee, has closed its doors once again. The pie shop initially opened on Cool Springs Boulevard in 2016 but closed in 2018. It reopened in 2019 at a new location on Carothers Parkway but has now closed without any formal announcement. The website no longer lists the Franklin locations, while the company still operates in Knoxville and Johnson City. (Williamson Source)
- "Historic Franklin: Along the Harpeth," a new book by author Jay Sheridan and Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Robin Hood, celebrates the rich legacy of Franklin.
