  1. Mayor Dr. Ken Moore plans to discuss the state of the city at the annual address on Wednesday, May 24 at Rolling Hills Community Church. Set to begin 7:45 a.m., the theme of the event is β€œCrossing the Goal Line." Several City Department Directors, including the Police Chief and Fire Chief, will join the mayor on stage to discuss goals and accomplishments. (Franklin Tomorrow via Facebook)
  2. A West Franklin family is seeking input from the community as they look to transform their 200-acre farm into a village. Owned by the Short family since the late 1800s, the family will be working with designers to help them turn their farm into a community-focused agriculture center. Half of the land would continue to be a farm, and the other half would transform into a mixed-used development filled with homes and businesses. According to Wright, a development partner, their next step is to get part of the land rezoned for conservation subdivision and neighborhood mixed-use by the end of the year. 3. The Franklin Farmers Market is returning every Saturday through October starting Saturday, May 6 at 8:00 a.m. The event, set to take place at the parking lot of The Factory, will include vendors such as Rose Creek Farms, Ellie’s Old Fashioned Doughnuts, Juice Nashville, and more. A full list of Franklin Farmers Market vendors and other information about the market can be found here. (The News)
