- Franklin's Goldfish Swim School will be hosting a Swim & Screen event on Saturday, Jul. 23. Everyone is welcome to attend the event. Netflix's The Sea Beast will be screened. Participants will be offered snacks, refreshments, and the chance to win prizes during the event. Swim time will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the movie beginning at 6:00 p.m. (News Channel 5 Nashville)
- The Franklin Special School District is currently accepting applications for free and reduced-price meals for the upcoming school year. School breakfast will cost $2 and lunch will cost $3. - The Franklin Police Department will be hosting a seminar designed to protect community members during an active shooter situation. The seminar will be on Aug. 10 at the department's headquarters.
