Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:
- Tesla is coming to Tennessee. According to a news release from Telsa Motors released on Friday, the company will open a full-service store in Franklin by mid-2023. Located on seven acres at 300 Shingle Way, the showroom will neighbor Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti, Hyundai, and other dealerships in Cool Springs. (Subscription: The Business Journals)
- Companies just broke ground on the new $500 million mixed-use project in Franklin's Golden Corner. Chartwell Hospitality and Southstar broke ground Friday on their $500 million Aureum Project; a 22-acre mixed-use space that will offer residents unique living, working, and entertainment options. The first phase consists of 355 residential units, and the following phases will add office space, retail, entertainment venues, and two hotels. There is not a set completion date for the project yet. (Williamson Source)
- Be aware of road closures this weekend in Williamson County. Between today and Feb. 15, there are several lane closures and road work projects to be aware of when planning routes around traffic. I-840 and I-65 shoulders will be closed in both directions, while I-40 will only experience temporary daytime shoulder closure for trenching operations. (TN.gov)
