• AAA: Tennessee gas prices hold steady ahead of holidays (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Drivers in Jackson are paying among the highest gas prices in Tennessee right now, at about $2.61 per gallon of regular. AAA says statewide prices are still the cheapest in four years and likely to stay relatively low through Christmas, giving holiday travelers from Jackson and across Tennessee a small break at the pump.
   

• JFD partners with local volunteers for 4th annual ‘Shop with a Firefighter' (wbbjtv.com) — Jackson Fire Department’s Station 5 is teaming up with WoodmenLife volunteers to provide Christmas gifts and groceries for a local family whose father was killed helping a stranded driver on the 45 Bypass. Firefighters will personally shop with the children while other volunteers assist their mother, continuing the department’s annual “Shop with a Firefighter” tradition in Jackson.
   

• Jackson native, Super Bowl champion spreads Christmas joy with ‘Trey's Holiday of Hope' (wbbjtv.com) — Jackson native and two-time Super Bowl champion Trey Smith is bringing extra holiday cheer to local families through the first-ever “Trey's Holiday of Hope” with United Way of West Tennessee. Ten area families will enjoy dinner, festive activities, desserts, Santa photos, and a special video message from Smith, alongside ten families in Kansas City.
