Knoxville Area Businesses Invited To Participate In Wage And Benefit Survey

Businesses are invited to participate in an area wage and benefit survey that is designed to gauge the pay and benefit structures for the Knoxville area to provide actionable benchmarks for the community. The survey is being conducted by the Knoxville Chamber, with the Knoxville HR Connection, Results HR, and the University of Tennessee Human Resource Management Intern Program.

βCandid community input is critical to the success and viability of the results,β said Mark Field, senior vice president of development for the Knoxville Chamber. βRespondents will receive priority access to the survey outcome. The results are beneficial in evaluating an organizationβs retention and recruitment strategies. In addition, the results can be used to better communicate competitive advantages.β
All businesses are invited to participate. The questionnaire will gather data on the 22 occupation profiles identified by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. To ensure privacy, individual survey responses cannot be traced back to a specific company.

βBusinesses are facing a major challenge when it comes to workforce right now,β said Lauren Longmire, Knoxville Chamber director of regional enhancement. βThis research is part of our multi-phase strategy to retain and recruit more skilled and educated talent to the region.β
