2 Arrested After Smyrna Wreck, Attempted Carjacking

Two people crashed a car and then tried carjacking someone Tuesday, according to Smyrna Police.

SMYRNA, TN — Two people involved in a Smyrna car crash decided they'd get a replacement vehicle by trying to carjack someone, according to police.

Around 9 a.m. Tuesday, two people wrecked a car in the Walgreens parking lot on Nissan Drive. They allegedly abandoned that car and ran to the nearby Walmart.

From there, the armed men allegedly tried to carjack someone else, but were unsuccessful and were taken into custody.

The men, who were not identified, are charged with attempted aggravated robbery. No one was hurt in either the crash or the carjacking.
