The City of La Vergne street department is now turning its focus to patching potholes that are popping up all over town.
Closures will begin at approximately 8 p.m., with reopening at approximately 6 a.m.
The project’s purpose is to install sidewalks along the entirety of Murfreesboro Road as well as crosswalks to every lighted intersection.
State troopers say a pedestrian died after being hit at the Almaville Road exit on Interstate 24 early Monday.
A one-mile stretch of Mason Road will be closed to through traffic for six months starting May 7 for significant upgrades.
