Motorcyclist Hurt In Crash With Smyrna Police SUV

A motorcyclist was serious injured when he rear-ended a Smyrna Police Department SUV early Wednesday.

SMYRNA, TN — A motorcyclist was seriously injured when he rear-ended a Smyrna Police Department SUV early Wednesday morning.

Around 2:45 a.m., the biker hit the back of the SUV at Old Nashville Highway and Rocky Fork Road. He was initially taken to StoneCrest Medical Center but was then transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His injuries are described as "serious."

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is assisting with the crash investigation.
