Search On For Truck Involved In Attempted Smyrna Child Abduction
The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who tried to grab a 13-year-old girl in Smyrna Monday.
SMYRNA, TN -- A 13-year-old girl was nearly abducted in Smyrna Monday and sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for the would-be kidnapper and his truck.
The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office says an "older man" attempted to grab the 13-year-old at the intersection of Shirley Road and Criddle Street near the Baker Road and Old Nashville Highway intersection.
The man is white with a gray beard and was driving a light gray, single cab, older model truck that sits low to the ground and is rusty around the door.
