Serial Auto Burglar Busted In Smyrna: Franklin Police
Franklin Police and the Williamson County Sheriff's Office arrested a Smyrna man wanted for dozens of auto burglaries.

SMYRNA, TN -- A joint operation by Franklin Police and the Williamson County Sheriff netted a Rutherford County man wanted for dozens of auto thefts in Williamson County.
Richard Hartman, 23, was apprehended in a Smyrna trailer park Tuesday.
Hartman, a convicted felon out on probation, is the suspect in dozens of auto burglaries throughout Franklin and Williamson County. Police say Hartman was armed with a handgun stolen from a car in Franklin’s Ladd Park Subdivision when he was arrested.

Franklin Police charged Hartman with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and he is being held in the Rutherford County Jail on that charge. Hartman will face several new auto burglary charges in Franklin and Williamson County once he transferred out of Rutherford County's custody.
