Smyrna Serial Burglary Suspect Found Passed Out In Nissan Stadium Parking Lot Surrounded By Stolen Goods
Police arrested a man — found passed out and surrounded by stolen items — wanted in nearly two dozen Rutherford County car break-ins.

NASHVILLE, TN — A man discovered by Metro Police passed out inside a car in a Nissan Stadium parking lot and reeking of marijuana turned out to be wanted for nearly two dozen vehicle break-ins in Rutherford County, which might be the reason he was asleep surrounded by electronics — allegedly.
Metro Police roused Tyler Lane, 18, from his Lot S slumber Wednesday morning and said there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from his car. During a search, officers allegedly found brass knuckles and dozens of pill bottles, none of which had his name on them.

Police said Lane was surrounded by a laptop, IDs, wallets, backpacks and credit cards which belonged to several different, non-Tyler-Lane people from Rutherford County.
Smyrna Police alerted MNPD that Lane is the prime suspect in 22 different vehicle burglaries in Smyrna and Murfreesboro.

He is charged with theft, possession of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of prescription medication without a prescription and trespassing. More charges are forthcoming.
