Tennessee Church Shooting: Victim's Funeral Thursday
The funeral for Melanie Crow, a 38-year-old mother of two who died in Sunday's Antioch church shooting, will be Thursday in West Nashville.

SMYRNA, TN — The funeral for Melanie Crow, the 38-year-old mother of two who was shot and killed in the parking lot of Antioch's Burnette Chapel Church of Christ Sunday, will be Thursday in West Nashville.
Crow — who police initially identified as Melanie Crow Smith — died after allegedly being shot by Emanuel Samson, 25, outside of the church before Samson entered the sanctuary, injuring seven other people before he was subdued by 22-year-old church usher Caleb Engle. Samson is charged with Crow's murder.

Visitation is Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at West Harpeth Funeral Home & Crematory at 6962 Charlotte Pike and Thursday between 9 a.m. and noon, immediately followed by a celebration of life. Interment will be at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens at 1:30 p.m.
Crow is survived by children Royce Smith, Jr. and Breanna Smith; parents, James Crow and Sheila Crow; and sister Bridget Polson.
