• Columbia State pre-apprentice lineworkers compete (mainstreetmediatn.com) — A Mount Pleasant student, Jeremiah Roan, earned second place overall and the Outstanding Student Award at Columbia State’s Pre-Apprentice Lineworker Mini-Rodeo, plus a Mule Day WORKS scholarship. The seven-week program trains future lineworkers with climbing, safety, and CDL preparation, backed by Metallica Scholars and local grants. Interested residents can already sign up online for future cohorts and scholarships.
