2 Children, Ages 4 And 13, Fatally Shot In Texas: Sheriff's Office
2 other kids, ages 8 and 9, were transported by Life Flight in critical condition, officials say.
ANGELTON, TX — Two children were killed and two others were airlifted in critical condition after a truck stop shooting in the Angelton, TX area Saturday.
According to a statement by the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office: "Earlier today, deputies responded to a tragic incident involving a shooting near Angleton, TX. Preliminary information indicates that two children, ages 13 and 4, were fatally shot, and two others, ages 8 and 9, were transported by Life Flight in critical condition."
Investigators are collecting evidence and working to determine exactly what happened, officials said.

"All individuals believed to be involved have been detained, and there is no ongoing threat to the community," the statement read. "While details are still developing, the loss of two children in such a manner is a tragedy. Our thoughts are with the family and everyone affected as we continue to learn more about this heartbreaking situation."
