McAllen Plaza Mall Robbery Attempt: Suspects In Custody
Officials with the city of McAllen said the report of shots fired was attributed to smashing glass.
McALLEN, TX — Police are investigating a robbery attempt at a jewelry store at La Plaza Mall in McAllen, officials said.
In an update posted to the city of McAllen Twitter page, officials said all known suspects are in custody and no injuries were reported.

Earlier, the Hidalgo County Constable Precinct 4 said on Facebook that there was an active shooter reported at the mall.
Authorities said to stay away from the area. Several law enforcement agencies are headed to the scene.
