Houston Woman’s Car Door Dinged In the Parking Lot. Then a Passenger Threatens Her: ‘Wanna See My Badge?'
"The way they're acting after hitting your car..."
Social media user Adrienne (@adriennechristine) recently posted a viral TikTok video with more than 3 million views showing her in an unusual interaction with an older woman. The woman’s party apparently dinged Adrienne’s car in a store parking lot in Houston. The older woman is sitting in the backseat and speaking from the car window; three others with her are apologetic over the situation.
Then the older woman says she works for Houston police.
“Wanna see my badge?” she says, before threatening to call law enforcement on Adrienne.

Here’s Adrienne’s side of it, per her video description:
“A woman in the backseat accidentally hit my car getting out of [their] car. I told her she hit my car, she apologized. She went into the store with her male friend. I finished what I was doing in my car and was walking across the street when Patty (the older woman) then proceeded to yell slurs out the window and called me over to her car. She then called me an [expletive] and almost damaged my property (again) — my phone. My car was damaged initially, though I was not going to press charges. She then threatened me with her place of employment (allegedly) being the Houston Police Department. All on video. If someone calls you to their car, you need to record to protect yourself!!!!!!!! She was too comfortable acting like this and didn’t show an ounce of accountability.”

No slurs are heard in either viral video.
During the clip, the older woman (a so-called Patty), who many in the comments have identified as a current or former Houston Police employee, was combative. Neither the woman’s name nor position is verified, and we have reached out to Houston Police for confirmation.
Part two adds a little more to the story, but it mostly concerns the male driver shielding Patty from the situation.
Viewers Weigh In
“An accidental ding by a car door isn't a big deal,” one person noted. “Grandma's verbal abuse and her attempting to hit your phone outta your hand is.”
Patty does appear to call Adrienne the b-word, but, again, that’s all that’s captured on video in terms of insults or slurs.
One of the replies said, “The woman in the back is embarrassed cuz Patty had too many drinks.”
Another commenter noticed a key moment: “The girl in the back mouthing, 'she’s drunk,' I feel so bad.”
Then again, a man in Patty’s party told Adrienne that no, she was not inebriated.
Supporting Characters
In these clips, the woman in the back with Patty appears exhausted, mildly amused, and embarrassed.
“The way they’re acting after hitting your car,” one commenter said. But the woman in the green seemed to understand that the situation was unnecessary and was going on for too long.
“I feel so bad for the woman in green that’s trying to apologize and being drowned out by everyone else,” said another commenter.
