Texas Foreclosure Filings See Year-Over-Year Decrease In February

Foreclosure filings in Texas for February 2018 saw a decrease when compared to the previous year.

Foreclosure activity in the U.S. in February decreased both over the past year and over the past month, according to ATTOM Data. Texas followed this trend and had a year-over-year decrease in foreclosure filings for February.

In the Lone Star State, foreclosure activity was down almost 13 percent year-over-year and decreased almost 19 percent when compared to January.

Texas ranked No. 25 in foreclosure rates while New Jersey had the highest in the country.

In February 2018, there were 4,194 foreclosure filings in the state or one in every 26 properties had a foreclosure filing.
