‘Wildlife Documentary’: Texas Woman Pays $2K For Wedding Video. Then She Sees The Footage

'It looks like you strapped a camera to the ring bearer's head.'

A Texas woman had the shock of her life when she hit play on her wedding video. That’s because the videography company not only sent her a seemingly unedited or shaky edit of her wedding, but the footage was also missing significant moments, including when she walked down the aisle.

In a video with more than 9.1 million views, Savannah (@savannahfrenchy99) says the company she hired for her wedding failed in almost every regard. She says it supplied an unprofessional, shaky video that “panned aimlessly” across the venue.

Savannah posted a clip of the footage to TikTok. Thousands of viewers have weighed in, sharing their own disbelief at the final product.

Many commenters said it looked like the videographer's first time using a camera.

The video shakily captured the top of the couple’s heads during one segment and features the videographer chaotically running from one location to another. The video itself had correct color balance and proper lighting but often steered away from the bride and groom to focus on entirely different things.

“It looks like you strapped a camera to the ring bearer's head,” one commenter quipped.

“Did you hire an unmanned drone as your [videographer]?” another asked.

“Camera man thought it was a wildlife documentary,” a third remarked.

TikTokers Save The Big Day

Many professional videographers and cinematographers offered to take a crack at fixing the video for the newlyweds.

“Send me the footage, my boyfriend will edit it for you. He’s a wedding videographer and this is despicable,” one viewer said.

Another person commented, “Hey! Video editor here. Ask [them] to give you all the raw files! I can help you edit and fix what can be fixed.”

Savannah did end up getting the raw footage and sent it over to TikToker @kc, who created a beautiful edit that exceeded her expectations.

Savannah wrote in the description, “AHHHHH my heart. Thank you @kc for delivering this phenomenal re-edit to my husband and I!!! Words can’t describe how we are feeling you guys ... .All of the love and support from everyone is truly a blessing and is a good reminder that there truly is good in the world despite all the bad.”

Viewers lauded @kc and the happy ending in the comments section. “This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen come out of the internet,” one said.

Did She Get A Refund?

Despite the happy ending, Savannah still had a frustrating experience with her first videographer, whom she paid $2,000 for their services. The couple requested a refund. By Oct. 28, they got one.

“THE ORIGINAL COMPANY HAS RESOLVED THIS SITUATION & GAVE US A REFUND,” she said in response to commenters. “Thank you TikTok community for helping make this happen!”
