• Azle ISD teacher and coach faces additional charge following alleged improper relationship with student (wfaa.com) — Azle parents should know that a longtime Azle High School teacher and coach has been arrested on an additional charge related to an alleged past improper relationship with a former student. Azle police say the 32-year-old, already previously charged in April, now faces a sexual assault of a child charge following a lengthy investigation. 
• TCU's Eric McAlister Named AP All-American (yardbarker.com) — A standout TCU wide receiver who grew up in Azle has been named to the AP All-American Third Team after one of the best receiving seasons in Horned Frogs history. Eric McAlister, a senior from Azle, racked up 1,121 yards in 2025 and is now projected as a mid-to-late round NFL Draft pick, capping a record-setting college career.
