• Texas Department of Agriculture warns of pasture mealybug (cw39.com) — Brazoria County ranchers and landowners are now on the front lines of a newly detected pasture mealybug that’s already damaging grasses in 20 Texas counties. State agriculture officials warn the pest can kill Bermudagrass and other forages, with no labeled insecticide yet available. Producers are urged to watch for yellowing, dying patches and report suspicious signs to TDA immediately.
