Guerra confirms Ternium USA will not be building a terminal at the Port of Brownsville (riograndeguardian.com) — The Port of Brownsville will not get a new Ternium USA terminal, but the steel giant will keep moving millions of tons of product through the port. Port chairman Esteban Guerra says roughly $25 billion in potential industrial projects are in the pipeline, promising more high-paying jobs and rapid growth at the port’s industrial park and surrounding region. 
2. Arrest made in Brownsville double homicide investigation (valleycentral.com) — Two women were found brutally killed at a Brownsville home on Tecate Street Sunday morning, and Cameron County authorities say a suspect was arrested later that night. The victims, who are related but not yet identified, were discovered inside and outside the house after a 911 call. Investigators are still searching for a motive and asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
3. Turns Out One Texas City Is the Absolute Worst Place to Find Love (keanradio.com) — Brownsville just landed last place in WalletHub’s 2025 ranking of U.S. cities for singles, scoring especially poorly on dating opportunities and fun and recreation.
