$227 Mega Millions Ticket Purchased In Cedar Park
Texas Lottery Commission says ticket matching all 5 numbers with a Mega ball was bought at the Lakeline Express Mart.

CEDAR PARK, TX — Someone in Cedar Park could be $227 million richer after a winning Mega Millions lottery ticket was bought there on Tuesday, according to officials.
The Texas Lottery Commission said the quick pick ticket matching all five numbers drawn with a Mega ball was purchased at the Lakeline Express Mart at the intersection of New Hope Drive and Lakeline Boulevard.
The winning numbers for the drawing on Tuesday are: 6-14-24-42-46 with Mega ball number, 9. The winner has 180 days to redeem the winnings. The lucky winner had to pick the five magic digits from a field of 70 with the Mega ball number selected from a field of 25 numbers.

In May, another winning ticket worth $5 million was bought in Central Texas — a Mega Millions one purchased on May 21 at an HEB Store and Slaughter Lane and Escarpment Boulevard that was purchased on May 21.

A past Texas Lottery winner himself, Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody shared news of the new Cedar Park millionaire on social media, offering his congratulations while noting jealousy is sure to rear its ugly head as word of the local winner spreads.
"Congratulations!" Chody wrote on Twitter in all caps. "From one winner to another, people will be envious no matter. Honor God and enjoy life," he added in the way of advice, from one lottery winner to another.

Chody became an overnight millionaire 18 years ago when his wife bought a winning Texas Lottery ticket valued at $85 million while he worked as an officer for the Austin Police Department. The couple opted for the cash value option rather than annual annuities, taking home $51.2 million.
