Here are the top three stories in Cedar Park-Leander today:
- Austin Community College (ACC) announced its Cypress Creek campus in Cedar Park will be closed today, Mar. 21, "due to a damaged water line which resulted in a major water leak and the campus being without water." All classes and activities are expected to resume on Mar. 22. (Fox 7 Austin)
- Leander ISD won the TASB Risk Management Fund, a $500 student scholarship, for Region 13. The funds will go to the graduating student who writes a winning application about what 'Student Voice' means to them. Trustee Anna Smith said the Texas Association of School Boards will recognize the winner at a May board meeting. (TASB)
- On Mar. 19, at Brushy Creek Lake Park in Cedar Park people gathered to celebrate Holi. The long-standing Hindu festival “celebrates the return of spring and the triumph of good over evil.” The participants threw pigmented powders into the air and at each other, covering everyone in bright colors. There were drums, tambourines, singing, and dancing; Cedar Park Mayor Corbin Van Arsdale was the chief guest. (KXAN)
