1. Yesterday, JLL Capital Markets announced that it has arranged acquisition financing for La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham. JLL secured a five-year, fixed-rate loan for Door Capital Partners (the borrower) through Alliance Bank Central Texas. La Quinta Inn & Suites is a 75-key hotel located at 1010 E. Whitestone Boulevard in Cedar Park. La Quinta has a mix of traditional guest rooms and suites, a fitness center, laundry facilities, an indoor pool and more. (Hotel News Resource)
2. On Apr. 23, Celebrate Trails Day and Redline Parkway Initiative are hosting an event that includes a bike ride and a chance to learn about the 32-mile planned linear park and public space along Capital Metro’s Red Line from downtown Austin to Leander. The park is not complete yet, but the bike ride will be 12 miles long and people can explore the completed parts. Once it is complete, people will be able to go from San Antonio to Leander on paved trails. (Culture Map Austin)
3. Shogun Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar is known for its steak, fresh fish, sushi, and hibachi experience. The restaurant will open at a Cedar Park location in September 2022, at 11023 Pecan Park Boulevard, which was previously occupied by Fuddruckers. (Community Impact Newspaper)
