Blood Evidence Found In Missing Cedar Park Woman's Home
According to an arrest affidavit for the missing woman's common-law husband, blood was found at her home and in a backyard shed.
CEDAR PARK, TX — Blood was found at the home of a missing Cedar Park woman before police arrested her common-law husband on unrelated drug charges, according to a published report.
In conducting a welfare check for Amanda Gordon, 30, at her home on 2505 Cedar Cypress Lane after she hadn't been seen for several days, police said her common-law husband, Samuel Roy Byrd, was uncooperative with their investigation.
Citing an arrest affidavit on Tuesday, KVUE reported Byrd spoke to arriving officers through a window while refusing to let them enter the home. Securing search warrants, police learned that Gordon's phone hadn't been used since Dec. 10. Then, police searching the property with the aid of cadaver dogs were alerted to blood evidence in the bedroom and bathroom of the home as well as inside a backyard shed, according to the report.

Police interviewed Byrd's brother, according to the report, who told them Gordon and Byrd had been using drugs before he said the missing woman was found dead on the floor. The man also told officers Byrd had been carrying on an affair with another woman who later told police he asked her to secure cleaning supplies, KVUE reported.
