Here are the top three stories in Cedar Park-Leander today:
- A Cedar Park man has been sentenced to 24 months in prison for possessing a Molotov cocktail during a 2020 protest ouside the Austin Municipal Court building. Cyril Lartigue, now age 27, was caught on camera in May of 2020 manufacturing the explosive near the Court. He was convicted last year in a jury trial for possessing parts of a destructive device with intent to construct, and faced sentencing on Thursday. (KVUE)
- On Wednesday, Leander native Anna Salisbury was named the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the the New Mexico Classic. Salisbury, a freshman sprinter at Lubbock Christian University, set a new school record in the 400-meter and earned an NCAA provisional mark while placing third in the 200-meter. She will compete with the rest of the LCU track & field teams in two more regular season before the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships later this month. (LCU)
- If you're planning to cast your vote in person for the 2022 Primary election, you can visit any one of Williamson County's polling locations on March 1. Locally, these include the Cedar Park Public Library (550 Discovery Blvd.), Cedar Park Randalls (1400 Cypress Creek Road), the Leander Public Library Annex (1011 S. Bagdad Road), and The Crossover (1717 Scottsdale Drive). Early voting ends Feb. 25. (Community Impact Newspaper)
