The City announced its plan to feature Pop-Up Parades for area residents to enjoy the Independence Day celebrations safely amid COVID-19.
CEDAR PARK, TX —Cedar Park residents will have a unique and fun opportunity to enjoy Independence Day festivities with alternative community events amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This year's celebration will feature a series of neighborhood Pop-Up Parades held across the city designed to be special and memorable.
The pop-up parades will include various public safety and Public Works vehicles caravanning through the Cedar Park's largest subdivisions, with vehicles decorated to reflect the spirit of the 4th of July celebration. Residents are encouraged to don their patriotic apparel and find a spot along the route and adhering to social distancing guidelines to enjoy the festivities comfortably and safely.
The entire community is invited to show their spirit by decorating their homes and front lawns in a patriotic theme and share on social media with #CP4th. As the City of Cedar Park continues evaluating a plan for a safe fireworks display amid the pandemic, announcements will be made the week of June 29 and announced on the City's page HERE.
