Since partnering with Cedar Park in 2014, Firefly Aerospace has expanded its venture to include rocket systems and lunar landers. In February, Firefly was awarded a $93.3 million contract by NASA to deliver payload to the moon in 2023.

Firefly will continue its development of launch and in-space vehicles and services that provide industry-leading affordability, convenience, and reliability. Firefly’s launch vehicles utilize common technologies, manufacturing infrastructure and launch capabilities, providing low earth orbit (LEO) launch solutions for up to ten metric tons of payload. Combined with Firefly’s in-space vehicles, such as the Space Utility Vehicle and Blue Ghost Lunar Lander, Firefly provides the space industry with a single source for missions from LEO to the surface of the Moon or beyond.

This extended partnership with Firefly Aerospace highlights the tremendous successes and bright future of Firefly. With this agreement, Cedar Park with Firefly, is now positioned to be a leader in the New Space sector.
