Cedar Park Code Ninjas Named 'Black Belt Center'

Local Entrepreneurs Take Home Top Award at Recent Conference; Look to Continue Teaching Local Children to Code

Code Ninjas of Cedar Park was recently recognized at the national Code Ninjas conference as a Black Belt Center, signaling that the center ranked in the 90th percentile of those who excel in customer service, satisfaction, and revenue generation. Local owner’s Jorge Donnadieu and Jesus Sotelo received the award for their extraordinary contributions as leaders, advocates, and high-performing franchisees within the rapidly-growing company.

Jorge and Jesus joined Code Ninjas in March 2018 and opened their first center in May 2018 in Cedar Park, Texas. Even as the franchise has grown to more than 120 franchise owners with 300 territories nationwide, Jorge and Jesus continue to stand out for their remarkable impact on the company, both locally and nationally.

“We are beyond honored to be recognized as a Black Belt Center,” said Jorge Donnadieu. “Working with Code Ninjas has been an incredible experience that has given us the opportunity to do something we love daily, while also helping children in our community learn and grow.”

At Code Ninjas of Cedar Park, children ages 7-14 learn how to code in a fun, safe, and social learning environment where gaming is celebrated, and STEM is cool. Everything about Code Ninjas is built around fun, which keeps kids coming back. But the center also provides the results that parents are looking for, as their children gain coding and problem-solving skills they’ll need for the jobs of the future. Code Ninjas built a robust, game-based curriculum made up of nine belts, just like martial arts. The curriculum is self-paced, but not self-taught; kids get immediate help and encouragement from Code Senseis and fellow students as they advance from white to black belt. The program keeps kids motivated with little wins along the way, and “Belt-Up” celebrations where they receive color-coded wristbands to mark their graduation to the next level. By the time a child finishes the program, they will publish an app in an app store.

“Jorge and Jesus are incredibly deserving to be named as one of our Black Belt Centers,” said David Graham, CEO and co-founder of Code Ninjas. “Their remarkable work ethic, dedication, and participation with the brand stands out immensely and shows through their revenue generation and positive community feedback.”
