- Cedar Park and Leander will no longer enforce youth curfews ahead of a new law taking place in September of this year. "Cedar Park’s curfew was between the hours of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekdays and 1 to 6 a.m. on weekends. Violations of the rule were punished with fines up to $500." The new law still allows curfews to be enforced by local emergency management agencies during declared emergencies. (KXAN.com)
- Leander City Council discusses potential future for the Bryson Farmstead development which is equipped with four acres of pasture and two established acres. The farmstead has historical value that the city is working with "Fisher Heck Architects, who are tasked with providing preservation and further repurposing plans." There are no solid plans as of yet, but there are several great ideas to be discussed. (Community Impact Newspaper)
- Cedar Park police department is one of the "safe places" to make sales transactions from online transactions between peers. "It's part of the SafeTrade program, launched in 2015 in response to the thousands of transactions initiated on classified sites that have gone awry."
