AUSTIN, TX — Texas gained a newly minted multi-millionaire this week after a lucky resident in the Houston area matched all six numbers of the Lotto Texas jackpot worth $23.75 million, officials said.

The winning lottery ticket was sold at the Murphy USA store near Highway 105 in Montgomery County, according to Texas Lottery Commission officials. The winning numbers from Wednesday's drawing are: 5-9-26-38-41-44.

The winner has seemingly chosen to remain anonymous, as allowed by lottery officials for those winning $1 million or more. The anonymity is granted as a security safeguard, lottery officials have explained.
