  1. Cedar Park made SmartAsset's list of the "most livable small cities in America" in 2022. This year's SmartAsset study ranked Cedar Park at No. 44 on the list of small cities, defined as those with populations between 65,000 and 100,000. The analysis compared 286 cities across 11 metrics related to housing affordability, job opportunities, health care accessibility, entertainment, and income equality. (KVUE.com)
  2. The City of Leander, in partnership with grassroots group IDEAL (Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity for All Leander), will have its first LGBTQ+ Pride event this month. At the May 5 city council meeting, the city honored Leander Pride and declared May 14 as Leander Pride Day, according to IDEAL. From 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on May 14, Leander Pride will host its inaugural "A Rainbow to Remember" event at Wilco Workspaces + Events. (KVUE.com)
