Hi! My name is Karyn and I recently started a fun community building group here in Cedar Park called "Cedar Park Rocks". Cedar Park Rocks is a community-building project meant to inspire creativity in all ages and encourage people to explore this beautiful city that we live in! All you need to do to participate is find some rocks (or you can purchase them at places like Home Depot or Lowes in the garden section) and get creative! You can paint on them, write on them, decorate them however you like. Then go out in our wonderful city and “hide” them where someone will come across them.
If you find a painted rock from our group, you can either keep it for yourself, or you can re-hide it for someone else to find. If you decide to keep a rock, you are encouraged to hide a new rock somewhere in its place (however this is optional)! The goal is to get people all across our city painting so that there are lots of rocks to be found out there. You might find yourself rediscovering parts of our community you haven't appreciated in a while. Get out and ENJOY yourself!
