Cedar Park Traffic Alert: Whitestone Boulevard Slated For Closure

AUSTIN, TX — Cedar Park officials on Wednesday reminded residents of an upcoming road closure at one of the city's key arteries this weekend.

Given ongoing railroad work by Capital Metro contractors, Whitestone Boulevard (RM 1431) will be closed from Saturday, Aug. 17, at 4 a.m. to Monday, Aug. 19 at 4 a.m. The work will require all lanes of Whitestone Boulevard (RM 1431) to closed to traffic from Discovery Boulevard to Bell Boulevard (US 183). Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane starting at Discovery Blvd. then will U-turn to provide access to businesses, city officials said.

Other traffic will be detoured, as well, city officials added. In short, they avoid motorists to avoid the area altogether if possible. Officials provided a map of the area where construction work is scheduled to occur.
