City Of Cedar Park: Capital Metro Construction 2/19-2/23

Capital Metro has distributed the following notice to residents in the area of their project in their railroad right-of-way.  While this is not a City of Cedar Park project, we are sharing Capital Metro’s information as a courtesy.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Capital Metro using the information below.   

Construction Notice

There will be construction activities being performed on the Capital Metro railroad right of way on the west side of Park Place Park between Saturday, February 19, 2022, and Wednesday, February 23, 2022.  The expected start time on Saturday, February 19 is 2:00 a.m. and the expected finish time on Wednesday, February 23 is 4:00 a.m. 

An existing timber bridge is being removed and replaced with a concrete box culvert to help improve drainage in the area. Since this work requires the removal of a section of the train tracks it needs to be done around the clock within a 74-hour shutdown window. Due to the use of heavy equipment, there will likely be more noise than usual during the nighttime hours and your patience is appreciated.
