Great news! This year, trash and recycling pickup remains on-schedule the week of December 20-24 and December 27-31.

BONUS! Extra week of recycling the week of December 27-31, to help with all of the extra packaging from holiday gift-giving. All houses will receive recycling pickup this week, regardless of your recycling schedule. Everyone will return to their regular recycling schedule the week of January 3.

Holiday Tree Recycling Event January 8 (new location)

  • Saturday, January 8, 2022
  • 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
  • New location: Parks Operations Building, 301 E. Little Elm Tr. (turn east off of Bell Boulevard at the Twin Lakes YMCA)
  • Please remove all ornaments and decor (such as tinsel, garland, etc.)
  • Free tree sapling (first-come, first-served)
  • Can't make it? Boy Scouts Troop 233 can pick up your tree for you.

City offices and facilities holiday closures

  • City offices are closed on Thursday and Friday, December 23 and 24
  •  The Library and Rec Center-are open on Thursday, December 23
  • The Library and Rec Center are closed Friday, December 24 and Saturday, December 25
  • The Library and Rec Center re-open for normal hours on Sunday, December 26
  • Other City facilities re-open for normal hours on Monday, December 27
  • City offices are closed on Friday, December 31
  • The Library and Rec Center are open on Friday, December 31
  • The Library and Rec Center are closed on Saturday, January 1, for New Year's Day.
  • The Library and Rec Center re-open for normal business hours on Sunday, January 2
  • City offices re-open for normal business hours on Monday, January 3
