Code Galaxy Opening in Cedar Park
School describes its mission as focused on helping students build their creativity and confidence through an engaging coding program.
AUSTIN, TX — Officials at Code Galaxy, a computer coding school, revealed on Monday they would be opening a site in Cedar Park.
The business describes its mission as one focused on helping students build their creativity and confidence through an engaging coding program. To reach and create leaders who will fill the growing programming skills gap, officials added, Code Galaxy is opening a new location early spring in Cedar Park.
Officials said the 1,564 square foot site will be equipped with an open classroom space, laptops, spheros, arduinos, android phones, headphones, chromebooks, ozobots, ipads, auto auto cars, makey makey, and more. The coding education center will be located at 202 North Walton Way, school officials told Patch.

“After seeing great success with our location in Westlake, we knew it was time to open up a new brick and mortar,” Ravi Parikh, Co-Founder of Code Galaxy, said in a prepared statement. “Our curriculum was developed by computer science teachers who know how to help students learn and retain information. We know our program can make a large impact on student lives and believe this new location will allow us to further our mission.”
The imminent opening comes as demand for computer science professionals continues to grow, officials noted, referencing a report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics showing employment of computer and information research scientists is projected to grow 16 percent from 2018 to 2028 — an exponentially faster rate that that for all occupations, according to the report.

Code Galaxy was founded to help students learn to enjoy computer science and gain interest in pursuing a career in the field, officials explained. The omni-channel kids coding program is powered by a scalable SaaS platform and robust learning management system called "Mission Control," which allows for delivery of a consistent coding education as well as administration, officials added.
"The Code Galaxy team believes strongly in supporting communities that they operate in," officials wrote. "As part of that effort, the team is hoping to expand after-school programs in schools in the surrounding Cedar Park area."
