CEDAR PARK, TX — Austin Coding Academy, the largest coding educator in Austin, will host an exciting opportunity for children ages 9 - 14 with an interest in technology, computers or programming with its Code Your Own Take-Home Mini Computer Workshop. The FREE special pilot camp is a great chance for local kids to explore tech and meet others who share the same interests.

Attendees will program their own take-home mini computer — Micro:bit is a handheld, fully programmable computer with buttons, touch sensors, and a screen! Campers at the event will program their Micro:bit mini computer to do cool stuff through hands-on activities and games. At the end of the day, attendees will take home their Micro-bits and continue learning though open source projects that are both fun and interactive.

Parents/guardians are welcome to stay and experience everything the fun camp will offer, and is a workshop designed for the whole family to enjoy! If you're interested in learning more about Micro:bit, check out this video. Campers will need to bring either a computer or smart phone to participate in the camp. Drop off is scheduled at 11:45 a.m., and the day concludes at 4:15 p.m. For more information regarding our Code Your Own Take-Home Mini Computer, contact gabe@austincodingacademy.com or call (806) 602 - 2930.
