Thinkery Austin will host its new program Food for Thought 2020 featuring culinary celebrities to help raise funds for the museum.

CEDAR PARK, TX —Having temporarily closed its doors as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Thinkery offers a host of virtual events for all ages to enjoy throughout the summer. To celebrate Austin's culinary excellence, from bakeries, distilleries and specialty food shops, the City's premier children's museum will host Food For Thought — a new, online event celebrating the local food and beverage culture, while raising funds in support of Thinkery.

The 60-minute virtual event scheduled Saturday, August 8 (livestream details to follow) will include a casual and engaging program with local culinary celebrities, a silent auction and raffle drawing. Special guests to include:

  • Pitmaster Aaron Franklin
  • Chef Kevin Fink
  • Chef Tavel Bristol-Joseph
  • Mixologist Daniela Martinez
  • John and Kendall Antonelli
  • More to be announced soon!

Proceeds from the virtual event to benefit Thinkery's STEAM Power Fund, designed to support the community with free online STEAM content amid the museum's closure during the pandemic. For more information, click HERE.
