Here are the top three stories today in Cedar Park-Leander:
- Williamson County offices will be closed for Good Friday on Apr. 15, 2022. The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Apr. 15 and Apr. 16, 2022. On Easter Sunday, Apr. 17, 2022, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will be closed. (Press Release Desk)
- The Leander Independent School District (LISD) Chief Financial Officer Elaine Cogburn announced there will be $7.2 million in budget cuts for the 2022-2023 school year. The cuts include redesigning bus routes, a decrease in funding for major maintenance projects, changes to the three-year-old PreK program, and more. The district says the cuts will have minimal impact on campuses and department operating budgets. (FOX 7 Austin)
- In District 25-5A high school baseball, Cedar Park is in the lead with a 5-1 league mark, while Rouse and Leander have 4-2 records. Senior Dylan Capers from Leander was named Player of the Week; he had a home run and four RBIs, and also struck out nine players while pitching. (Statesman)
