Wood said travel changes a person and "seeing the world in different ways [and] experiencing things that help somebody get outside of their comfort zone" are the best parts of travel.   3. USA Today's annual national high school sports awards show is later this month and a few Austin-area athletes are nominated. Leander High School class of 2022 softball player Savannah Geurin earned a nomination for the national softball award.
