- The Austin Fire Department, Cedar Park Fire Department, and other surrounding fire departments responded to more than 140 fires in 24 hours, from Jul. 4 to Jul. 5. The Austin crews said it was mostly small grass, dumpster, and trash fires. However, several of the fires grew and reached one to two acres in size, and there were three structure fires. - The Cedar Park Police Department now has a new online reporting system. The community can now file police reports online, on the phone at the Cedar Park Police Department's non-emergency number 512-260-4600, or in person at Cedar Park police headquarters at 911 Quest Parkway. (FOX 7 Austin)
