  1. Early yesterday morning, Mar. 24, a cyclist died after a crash on Ronald Reagan Boulevard involving a vehicle. The Leander Police Department is investigating and said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating. (KXAN)
  2. A new system that extends Automatic Aid, called Tellus, is an interface that brings together disparate Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems to share information. Now, when dispatching a fire truck to an incident, the City of Austin Fire dispatchers can see where all the fire trucks are located (in Cedar Park, Georgetown, Round Rock, and Austin) and dispatch the closest unit regardless of jurisdiction. Sherry Goertz, IT Corporate Manager, Public Safety IT said "the impact this project will have on the community members of Georgetown, Cedar Park, Round Rock, and Austin will be tremendous." (Austin Texas)
  3. There are three new commercial projects in Cedar Park and Leander. One project is a $2 million construction of a "retail shell" at The Shops at New Hope in Cedar Park starting Apr. 1. In Leander, Season's Memory Care is building a 16-bed memory care unit. And Leander Dental Care is adding an addition to its building. (Community Impact Newspaper)
