Fatal Motorcycle Accident Reported In Cedar Park
Police said a truck collided against a median, sending debris onto the road that the motorcycle driver was unable to avoid before crashing.
CEDAR PARK, TX — Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Saturday evening, officials said.
Police responded to the crash along the 6400 block of the 183A toll road at around 6:30 p.m., officials said in an emailed press advisory. Upon arrival, officers spotted a pickup truck in the median and a motorcycle in the roadway.
The motorcyclist, 45-year-old Dane Benjamin Hone, was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries before succumbing to his injuries early Sunday morning, police said. An investigation revealed that it appears the truck struck the median first, sending debris onto the roadway. Hone is believed to have hit the debris while traveling on the toll road before crashing.
