LEANDER, TX — Mark your calendars, Leander art lovers: The city's first-ever art festival is scheduled on Saturday, June 15.

The event at Robin Bledsoe Park will feature an art competition with cash prizes, family-friendly music and entertainment, chalk walk, and food and art vendors. Oh, and here's the best part: Admission is free!

  • 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. - Vendor/Volunteer arrival and setup.
  • 11 a.m. - Festival begins.
  • 1 p.m. - Announcement of juried art show winners.
  • 5 p.m. - Festival ends, vendor/volunteer take down.

Featured music artists will include Suzanne Bertran of Soulshine Rhythm Experience, Indian and The Jones, and Tiarra Girls. Below are details:

  • Soulshine Rhythm Experience(link is external) helps create wellness through the healing power of rhythm. Suzanne Bertran is a percussionist, teacher and HealthRhythms-trained facilitator.
  • Indian and The Jones(link is external) combines sounds and elements of American folk music, bluegrass, old time music, country music, and modern folk songwriting.
  • Tiarra Girls(link is external) is a three-time Austin Music Award winner consisting of Ann Richards School alumni. The power trio delivers an eclectic sound and anthemic lyrics celebrating a message of unity and empowerment.
